HUDSON, Wis. (WJMC) — A woman is dead and a suspect is in custody after a more than three hour standoff with police in Hudson on Wednesday afternoon.
Hudson Police Chief Geoffry Willems said officers were called to an apartment building in the 1600 block of Namekagon Street for a welfare check where a man allegedly made comments that someone was in danger. The man refused to come out of the residence and allegedly threatened suicide by cop.

A man was booked in the St. Croix County Jail on preliminary charges of first-degree intentional homicide, mayhem and aggravated domestic battery.
